Description & fit

This hand-knitted sweater is made from undyed organic alpaca yarn. Alpaca yarn is very pleasant to wear, and even if you find sheep’s wool too ‘itchy’, this is a very tolerable alternative!

No sewn seams, knitted in one piece, with a lovely yarn that’s organic on top of that! Hand knitting is something I really love doing!

The wool can pill a little. Tip: pull the little fuzz balls off the sweater by hand. A lint roller damages the yarn, which only makes the effect worse.

Because this is a handmade product made from a natural material, it’s only natural that you may find imperfections in it. I see that as something beautiful. Because who is perfect?

A classic! Combine the sweater with a bold colour, or not! It’s a sweater with endless possibilities.

The sweater has a loose, slightly oversized fit with a slightly higher neck, and it’s slightly cropped from a height of about 170cm. But with high-waisted jeans, no problem! My tip: wear it with high-waisted trousers or a skirt.

Because the sweater is knitted in one piece, you don’t have to deal with sewn (thick) seams. The sleeves fall nice and loose too. In my opinion it’s simply a lovely sweater, made from beautiful yarn with the very light natural sheen that alpaca yarn always has. What I think is extra cool is that the yarn is also plant-dyed. The sweater is made in one size, but would you like extra length? Just ask!

Material & care

Only wash the sweater when it’s really necessary! Then wash it by hand in lukewarm water – rather cold than hot, because if you wash it too warm it may shrink. Don’t hang the sweater on a hanger, but store it folded in your wardrobe.

Lara designs and sews every piece herself in the atelier in Middelburg. Made-to-order pieces are made for you after you order; the delivery time is shown on the product.

Delivery time

Within the Netherlands your order usually arrives within 5 working days, in Belgium and Germany within about 7 working days. I only make made-to-order pieces once you order them; their delivery time is always shown with the product. Need something by a certain date? Just email me beforehand at info@lzwaan.com.

You pay securely at checkout. You'll receive your invoice digitally by email, with your order number on it – handy if you'd like to exchange or return something.

Exchanges & returns

How does it work?

Would you like to exchange or return something? No problem: within 14 days of receiving your order, email the following information to info@lzwaan.com:

your first and last name as on the invoice, and your order number;
which garment you'd like to exchange (and for what) or return;
briefly why the garment wasn't right – maybe you're not the only one, and I can do something about it.

After your email, you have 14 days to send the garment back in its original condition, at your own cost, to:

Please note

Please return the garment neatly, with the hang tag still attached.
Return shipping is at your own cost. The purchase price and the shipping costs from ZWAAN to your address will be refunded within 14 days of your return notification.
Of course you may try the garment on, but please return it undamaged – I check this on arrival.
Leave the tag on while trying the garment on and only remove it once you're sure you're keeping it. Without the tag I can't accept an exchange or return.
If a returned product is damaged, compensation may be charged.

Packaging

Open the packaging carefully so it can be reused. I think it's a shame when boxes aren't reused – for larger orders I often give boxes a second life myself.
Sending something back? If possible, use the original packaging and tape it securely.
Write the return address on a note that you can stick over your own address.
