One of a kind gilet – Sustainable Slow Fashion
This oversized one of a kind gilet is a truly unique piece to wear. This version is slightly shorter in fit than most of the others. Handmade by me in my studio in Middelburg, made entirely from high-quality deadstock offcuts of wool. Each gilet exists only once and is designed for lovers of sustainable fashion, slow fashion and bold style.
The gilet – or you could also call it a bodywarmer – has an oversized unisex fit and a rugged yet soft look thanks to the combination of fit, fabric and colour choice. Because I only use leftover fabrics, every design gets its own story and texture. The gilet is finished with bias binding that I made myself from offcuts of gingham cotton. No mass production, but conscious fashion that stands for creativity, craftsmanship and love for people and the planet.

Wash the garment as little as possible – only when it is really necessary. If you do, wash it by hand in lukewarm water. Line dry and iron on a maximum of 1-2 dots.
Wash this piece of clothing by hand, don’t bleach it, let line/air dry, don’t use chemicals and ironing between 1-2 points.

Lara designs and sews every piece herself in the atelier in Middelburg. Made-to-order pieces are made for you after you order; the delivery time is shown on the product.

Delivery time
Within the Netherlands your order usually arrives within 5 working days, in Belgium and Germany within about 7 working days. I only make made-to-order pieces once you order them; their delivery time is always shown with the product. Need something by a certain date? Just email me beforehand at info@lzwaan.com.
Payment & invoice
You pay securely at checkout. You'll receive your invoice digitally by email, with your order number on it – handy if you'd like to exchange or return something.
Exchanges & returns
How does it work?
Would you like to exchange or return something? No problem: within 14 days of receiving your order, email the following information to info@lzwaan.com:
- your first and last name as on the invoice, and your order number;
- which garment you'd like to exchange (and for what) or return;
- briefly why the garment wasn't right – maybe you're not the only one, and I can do something about it.
After your email, you have 14 days to send the garment back in its original condition, at your own cost, to:

Please note
- Please return the garment neatly, with the hang tag still attached.
- Return shipping is at your own cost. The purchase price and the shipping costs from ZWAAN to your address will be refunded within 14 days of your return notification.
- Of course you may try the garment on, but please return it undamaged – I check this on arrival.
- Leave the tag on while trying the garment on and only remove it once you're sure you're keeping it. Without the tag I can't accept an exchange or return.
- If a returned product is damaged, compensation may be charged.
Packaging
- Open the packaging carefully so it can be reused. I think it's a shame when boxes aren't reused – for larger orders I often give boxes a second life myself.
- Sending something back? If possible, use the original packaging and tape it securely.
- Write the return address on a note that you can stick over your own address.

Lara maakt de fijnst zittende broeken die ik ooit heb gehad, van een hele mooie stof.
Ze zijn beiden al vaak gewassen en zien er nog prachtig uit, ik ben er heel blij mee!
Ik draag het veel, blijft in goede pasvorm en zit als gegoten. Heerlijke zachte stof en nog duurzaam ook.
Heb twee stuks van Lara en bij beide is de pasvorm super en de stoffen heerlijk zacht en comfy. Aanrader!
